The artist creates a work based on urban aesthetics, adding small elements in order to modify the iconographic meaning of some street signs. In this case, she adds a papillon made with paint to symbolise the famous dress of the lyric singer Klaus Nomi.
Iconography:
The work metaphorically represents Klaus Nomi, a German-born countertenor renowned for his unique and unusual vocal interpretations and for fusing opera with rock and pop. The artist decides to represent the famous jacket that the singer used to wear, an indistinguishable element of his aesthetic.
