Accelerated Minds is part of a double project carried out between 2016 and 2019 at Sloterdijk station. The first action, Genesis, took place in 2016; the second, Accelerated Minds, three years later.

Physical Description:
Genesis is an abstract-geometric piece, close to Kenor's own style, based on a repetition of patterns, geometric shapes and exact colour combinations. The optical effect of the painting is also related to its possibility of being a work in movement: if the train were operative it would project a dynamic aesthetic that is totally different from its static appearance. The many connections with the tradition of graffiti and street art are also evident: historically, urban areas such as stations and trains have long been considered "white canvases" for street artists, thanks to the materiality of the train, its flat surface and the possibility of being optimally preserved over time. In 2019, Kenor returns to Sloterdijk station to paint a new train with the work Accelerated Minds, the aesthetics of which are probably inspired by the predecessor Genesis.
Iconography:
The work is a tribute to the illegal tradition of graffiti, mostly performed in the urban railway context and on trains. The significance of the work lies in the aesthetic-illegal power of urban art and its possibility of becoming an aesthetic-urban improvement for society despite its illegal character.
According to the artist: “Graffiti and muralism are the only real and true movements that exist in the urban art scene and both of them are reflected in the trains. Street Art in itself does not exist. This is a creation conceived by the people who want to make business with muralism.”
