SAMA projects are an example of social, scientific and artistic application of the our street art collection for social change.
i-SAMA
SAMA heeft de wens om Augmented Reality (AR) en Virtual Reality (VR) in te zetten om de collectie bestaande en verdwenen street art werken digitaal te behouden en op interactieve wijze online te presenteren. DigitALL heeft subsidie toegekend voor een haalbaarheidsonderzoek naar de ontwikkeling van een interactieve collectiepresentatie op de website voor SAMA.
Kunsttuin in Dichtersbuurt
‘De Kunsttuin’ gaat over het complexe thema identiteit wat in de Dichtersbuurt speelt vanwege de huidige renovatieplannen die momenteel spelen en direct van invloed zijn op de leefsituatie van de bewoners. Dit geldt ook voor andere buurten in Nieuw-West, vanwege de langdurige en grootschalige vernieuwingsplannen voor het stadsdeel.
All Inclusive in Dichtersbuurt
The aim of "All Inclusive in Dichtersbuurt" is to connect the local residents with each other and with other residents in the area.
All Inclusive - De Kunsttuin in de Dichtersbuurt
Het doel van het project is de buurtbewoners te verbinden met elkaar en met bewoners in de omgeving. Met een kennismakingsprogramma wil SAMA de buurtbewoners van haar nieuwe locatie leren kennen en verschillende groepen betrekken, om vervolgens samen met de buurt activiteiten te programmeren die nog beter aansluiten bij hun behoeften.
De activiteiten bieden alleenstaanden mogelijkheden om op een laagdrempelige manier contacten te leggen met buurtbewoners en elkaar beter te leren kennen. Door met elkaar in gesprek te gaan en na te denken over een activiteitenprogramma voor de buurt ontwikkelen ze tevens een gevoel van eigenaarschap wat de betrokkenheid met de buurt vergroot. Tevens biedt het programma creatieve activiteiten voor kinderen en (alleenstaande) ouders, waar ze thuis (in de kleine woningen) geen ruimte voor hebben.

Voor het bevorderen van cultuureducatie op het gebied van street art zou SAMA een samenwerking willen verkennen met beoogde partnerorganisaties in
Bogota, Colombia. De betreffende organisaties zijn: Instituto Bogotano De Corte, La Fulmine, en Firma de Arte. SAMA en de beoogde partners willen onderzoeken of er een samenwerking kan worden opgezet voor het ontwikkelen en uitvoeren van educatieve
activiteiten op het gebied van street art in Amsterdam (Nederland) en Bogota (Colombia).

Collaboration between 3 museums
The aim of the research is the professional development of the Street Art Museum Amsterdam, which is located in Amsterdam Nieuw-West.
The Power of street art
Within the framework of the project, young people will gain knowledge about street art, gain experience in the management of street art creation, discuss its meaning and purpose, and create their own works of art that will be made available to everyone. It's also the power of street art - you don't have to go to a museum to enjoy street art, it's for everyone!
Surround Sound
In Amsterdam, a monumental artwork comprised of painted asphalt, planters, and benches was completed in April 2022 by the Street Art Museum Amsterdam (SAMA) and Spanish artist Kenor. Spanning 90,000 square feet of paint, “Surround Sound” is the largest artwork ever created in Amsterdam by SAMA, and transforms a well-used open-air marketplace, changing perceptions of the Plein 40-45 neighbourhood, and engaging local residents.
Street Art & Democracy
In ‘Street Art & Democracy’ we looked back at 12 years of street art in Amsterdam, taking the first street art festival in Amsterdam in 2010 as a starting point. Through research, interviews, and mapping, SAMA documented and presented important initiatives on street art in Amsterdam. As part of the introduction to the exhibition we made a video mash up with a variety of street art projects from different parties, organised since 2010 in Amsterdam.
EU STAR
The main objectives of this international event was to to build a network between European countries with a common strategy to promote social inclusion, to foster intercultural dialogue and also to reduce marginalization of depressed abandoned areas. It gave me not only a perspective from the Netherlands but a larger view on the project. Many murals were already created all around Europe thanks to the initiative. Since I arrived in April, I was only able to participate in the project during the conference in Kosovo (April 2022) and in the last conference in Amsterdam (May 2022).
MooiMakers
n January 2022, the MooiMakers project started in various neighborhoods of Amsterdam. In Oud Noord, initiator Municipality of Amsterdam works together with Stichting Makers aan het IJ and youth organization DOCK. In recent months, young people, local residents and makers have been working on five separate installations, works of art or other artistic elements in the public indoor or outdoor space. Together we have tried to make the neighborhood more beautiful, but above all everyone has been able to learn with and from each other. Special things have arisen within this special collaboration. Stramurales 2022 - 2023
Stramurales aims to improve the availability of learning opportunities for adults through the enhancement of street art as a social tool for cultural development of communities.
The specific objective is to strengthen and share the inclusive process developed in Stornara as a good learning opportunity for adults, artists and associations, through the promotion of international cooperation.
