Where do I go to dance outside?

We currently offer one location where the music for our daily dances will be streamed to members. Once you arrive at the location and sign in on your phone, you will be able to access the live audio stream Corte Madera Town Park in Marin (in the area in front of the skate park)

Will I have to maintain social distance when dancing in person?

Yes, we are required to follow current COVID guidelines in your area. Guidelines are changing rapidly, at this moment in the Bay Area that means you are required to wear masks and social distance.

What is included with my monthly subscription?

Your subscription offers you time, flexibility, and financial savings. Subscribing gives you the option for Zoom online or outdoor live stream audio access to all of our dances each month. Membership includes access to audio archives so you can listen anytime, anywhere.

How much does a subscription cost?

$54 per month gives you unlimited access for as little as $2.70 per dance

Can I help sponsor others?

Yes, it’s easy to pay it forward for another dancer.

I can’t afford $54 a month. Does this mean I won’t be able to dance with Open Floor?

If you are facing financial hardship, you can select a reduced subscription price of $44/month. If the reduced price is not possible for you, please contact Leah.

What do I need to bring to dance outdoors?

Just bring your mask, headphones and a fully charged phone

What if I don’t want to dance in person at this time?

No problem! We are still offering all of our 60-minute sessions on Zoom

Will sessions be recorded?

Audio archives of our 60 minute dances and 20 minute dance break sessions are available to you as members. This means you can dance when it suits you best.

How do I unsubscribe?

You can unsubscribe at any time. Click https://openfloor.discology.me/profile/subscription You may be prompted to login with your phone number. You will get a temporary password texted to you. Validate this password. Click Cancel Subscription.

Can I drop in on a single class?

Yes! If you'd like to try out a class before subscribing, or if your schedule doesn't allow a regular routine, go here to purchase single tickets to any event. You may attend via Zoom or live stream. https://www.openfloordance.org/drop-in-tickets

Is the music that Open Floor Dance plays licensed for use?

Yes - we have a license through ASCAP which allows us to play/stream music and ensures the artists are compensated

If my audio cuts out, what do I do?

The solution for this varies depending on how you are joining the dance. If cutting out happens in the audio stream only, the issue could be your phone carrier’s coverage area, your data plan, or the cell signal strength. Try moving to a location where your phone shows you having the most “bars”, and/or refreshing the audio stream page If cutting out is happening on zoom, then it’s typically your plan provider or upload/download speed on wifi. Moving closer to the router can help. Programs and apps running in the background may also be competing for bandwidth. Quitting all programs and apps not actively in use often resolves the issue.
