Street Art for Democratic Community Development in Amsterdam Zuid.

Graffiti en street art zijn het erfgoed van nu en de toekomst. Van onontgonnen gebied naar motor voor de vernieuwing binnen het erfgoed. 

Through this pilot with Amsterdam Museum & Van Eesteren Museum, SAMA will explore and develop the use of street art as a tool to discuss topics that matter in a collaboration.

SAMA en de beoogde partners willen onderzoeken of er een samenwerking kan worden opgezet voor het ontwikkelen en uitvoeren van educatieve activiteiten op het gebied van street art in Amsterdam (Nederland) en Bogota (Colombia).

In ‘Street Art & Democracy’ we looked back at 12 years of street art in Amsterdam, taking the first street art festival in Amsterdam in 2010 as a starting point.

An exhibition designed to showcase SAMA's collection of ephemeral artworks and the souvenirs around them, whilst challenging the ‘white cube’ model, playing with inside and outside, using, as exhibition spaces, diverse locations in our neighbourhood and combining multimedia content, objects, and the original street art pieces of our collection.
